TED WEEMS AND HIS ORCHESTRA
The Complete Ted Weems, Volume 2 (1926-1928)
Renovation 7008

Ted Weems organized his first orchestra while a student at the University of Pennsylvania. Within a couple years, the Weems band was recording regularly for Victor, producing a string of quintessential 1920s "hot dance band" records. These early Weems sides are full of pep, humor, and incredibly "tight," crisp playing. This disc features all of Weems's recordings from 19 July 1926 through 4 September 1928. Vocalists include Parker Gibbs, Dusty Rhoades, Bill Comfrot, Art Jarrett, and Sam Olver. 73 minutes.

NOTE: This CD was produced by Renovation Records. Sadly, the Renovation label is no longer in operation. Rivermont has acquired the label's backstock and we are making the titles available on our website at a discounted price while supplies last.
